Hong Kong Movie-Inspired Restaurant Branding and Design
KASKI’s brand identity captures the act of offering rather than the dish itself. With Nordic restraint and architectural poise, the design speaks in quiet gestures.
Task
We began by researching KASKI’s brand philosophy to define its core values. Rather than focusing on the food itself, we built a visual system centered on the act of offering quiet, deliberate, and intentional. To shift away from conventional Japanese cues, we developed a graphic tone rooted in Nordic restraint. The logotype was crafted as a custom sans-serif, borrowing formal cues from architectural structures to evoke grounded elegance. Throughout the system, we combined literal and abstract elements to express both clarity and depth. This modular approach ensured consistency across applications, allowing the identity to remain cohesive while adapting to different formats.
