Intersecting Lines and Contrast Like a Scene from a Film
A cinematic, warm F&B brand space for KASKI.
Defined by bold lines, color, and rhythm, the design creates a distinctive experience.
Task
The spatial flow and structure were designed to reflect KASKI’s F&B brand philosophy and story, with linear elements, rhythm, and contrasts shaping an experience of tension and immersion. Lighting, form, and detail were composed to bring depth and visual openness to the compact space. The overall balance and atmosphere were carefully refined to evoke the feeling of a cinematic scene.
KASKI was created as a space that stays true to what we love rather than following trends.
This is what makes the space inherently warm and sustainable.
It reflects the message we hoped to convey through KASKI.
The design concept aimed to create the mood of a scene from a film.
It evokes a bar or eatery tucked away in a corner of Hong Kong, a space that feels like it belongs somewhere in between places.
카스키는 트렌드를 따르지 않고, 내가 좋아하는 것을 고집하며 만들어진 공간이다.
그렇기에 이 공간은 지속가능하고 따뜻할 수밖에 없다.
이것이 우리가 카스키 공간을 통해 전하고자 했던 메시지이다.
공간 디자인 컨셉은 영화 속 한 장면을 떠올리게 하는 분위기를 구현하는 것이었다.
마치 홍콩의 작은 골목에 숨겨진 펍이나 음식점처럼, 어딘가에 걸쳐 존재하는 듯한 공간을 연출하고자 했다.
KASKI’s design elements focused on making the compact space feel larger and more layered.
Linear lighting along the ceiling and around the tables reduced the sense of enclosure, balanced the space, and highlighted the movement of the chefs.
Carpet colors were used to visually distinguish seating zones from circulation paths, reinforcing the rhythm and flow of the space.
Repeated square patterns on the walls added a classic touch, while modern colors gave the space a warm, contemporary character that blends tradition and modernity.
Deep red curtains and thoughtfully placed signage guided the gaze and rhythm of the interior.
Orange tones on the table bases and chairs visually divided the tall ceiling and drew attention toward the heart of the room.
카스키의 디자인 요소는 작은 공간을 더 넓고 깊게 느끼도록 하는 데 집중되었다.
천장과 테이블을 따라 뻗은 직선 조명은 시각적 답답함을 완화하고, 쉐프의 움직임을 돋보이게 하며 공간의 밸런스를 잡아준다.
바닥의 카펫 컬러를 달리해 좌석 공간과 이동 동선을 시각적으로 구분하여 공간의 리듬과 흐름을 강조했다.
벽면의 반복되는 고전적 사각 패턴은 현대적인 컬러를 입혀 전통적 형식과 모던함이 공존하는 분위기를 만들었고,
붉은 커튼과 사이니지는 공간의 시선과 리듬을 조율하는 장치가 되었다.
테이블 하부와 의자는 주황색 컬러로 통일해 높은 천장을 시각적으로 분할하며 시선을 공간의 중심으로 모이게 하였다.
